Got all my bodywork back from the painter last week and reassembled the beast after 14months off the road. Now to sort the running so a couple of questions.
Firstly seems very smokey even though the lube pump is on the correct setting, any ideas?
Secondly when it starts she goes straight to 5,000 plus rpm even though th throttle is shut off and nothing appears stuck. I even screwed the idle screws right in and didn't make a difference.
All suggestions appreciated.
RD250LC Question
Re: RD250LC Question
Make sure all the cables are seated fully in the junction box.
Re: RD250LC Question
Carby slides swapped over?
Re: RD250LC Question
check the slides are all the way down, sounds like they are up, if its not that then you have an airleak.

What colour smoke? Maybe crank seals?
