RD250F Basket Case
Re: RD250F Basket Case
I have a seat that's useable but the base has a few holes, PM if your interested. An LC CDI will do the job I believe.

Re: RD250F Basket Case
I thought about leaving the cylinders natural alloy as they came back from the machine shop bored/honed and blasted, but then I weakened and did the traditional black paint with polished fins. I had time last night to whip those back onto the bottom end and seal it up, then push those carbies on the back.

Re: RD250F Basket Case
nope, the 80-82 LC does not have PVs... 83 on is YPVS and of course, those do.
Re: RD250F Basket Case
thats looking sweet stanks.
Re: RD250F Basket Case
not on an LC theybdon't!

Ex UK, now in Adelaide. LC250/350. DT175. Shed full of sh1t in the vague form of dismantled rusty RD’s and RZ’s.
Re: RD250F Basket Case
I actually always thought the Lc's CDI looked very antiquated compared to the YPVS unit. this would make sense if it was a 70s unit really. It is labelled 4L0 tho, so its not an AC unit as such.JonW wrote:nope, the 80-82 LC does not have PVs... 83 on is YPVS and of course, those do.

Re: RD250F Basket Case
LC CDI has a static advance curve, so the CDI would be a very simple unit.JonW wrote:I actually always thought the Lc's CDI looked very antiquated compared to the YPVS unit. this would make sense if it was a 70s unit really.
