nasty LC in Melbourne

since no one seemed to like my link of a 500buck LC in Sydney I fear you wont like this one much at all... I certainly dont!

$1200 for a bike that's certainly been flooded. The fact its been stripped says to me that someone assessed it and found it wanting and sold it to these guys for scrap money, they are just trying it on imho.

BRG, the alloy looks furry and the paintwork rusty, we have a warm enough climate that if you leave something outside i dont see many looking like this, so it looks like its been wet either in standing water or condensation in a small shed...

What's it worth to the collective then?? nothing to me... cyls if the bore was low and the frame if it was ok. maybe 500?

"Twin disk 250 frame" Did they do that? No. But you can add the extra disk to the 250, it only has a blanking plate over the holes.

Hard to tell without seeing it, but engine is toast, if its open its rusty.
If its been dunked then even the frame may have internal rust.

Value to the collective - we're all after the same parts.
Forks - f$$ked
Headlamp - rotten, never seen one that rusty, supports flooding coment.
Engine - barrels may be salvagable, original "round eye" pistons might suggest they haven't been bored right out? Rest of motor I'd assume junked in this picture.
Frame - only worth something if it can be registered.
I'd chuck them a lowball spare parts offer at most, they're jst trying to cash in and find a mug with money.

Ring wood isn't that far for me, I can have a closer look if anyone wants.

I'd say it's been leaning up against a house wall with cases exposed etc for a long time. I paid only a fraction of that price for mine and it's in better condition, still missing engine bits but!

I'd offer em 200 bucks cos I'm feeling in a good mood.

Trouble for me is Australa's so big I have factor in 300 to 600 in shipping for anything worth retrieving!
Not much turns up in sleepy Adelaide!

Almost wish I'd ended up in Melbourne, seems more going on there.
