Anybody got a cheap bike lift / work bench for sale in Brisbane?

Too old or lazy to work on my knees!

What solution did you come up with, I think I seen a milk crate used in some pics here?

I've heard
that used hospital beds make good bike lifts.

Hare and forbes have them pretty cheap.

I got mine from ebay for approx $300 I think... long time ago. They might even be cheaper now.

Or maybe not :O

Bit of pine, some MDF and some wheels.

18mm MDF, 70 by 40mm or something pine, 3 inch batten screws and some 100 by 100 posts

Cheap as, couple of hours to make, holds the busa quite nicely.

The postie bikes live in a similar setup, 2 pieces of MDF screwed together and some wheels under

The motard lives on one similar to the bus, and the shelf under makes for great storage space for parts or anything else for that matter

He used a sawdust pump. They are cheap and you can get them from ebay:

Actually, they look like great ideas, Thommo. move the bikes left right, forward, back etc. As long as the floor is level, all is good

The ones to move the bikes around are a good idea, but for the work bench, <$500 is a small price to pay for the benefit of working on a bike at any height you need in my opinion.

One of these days I will make up a swingarm brace for my one so the rear wheel can be removed while it's on the ramp, and also make it a bit more stable.

joking aside as well, I was thinking broadly along these lines for my garage, but was wondering also about best answer for keeping a bike steadily vertical up there. maybe have a slot to poke a post into? Lash the fork onto it or something.
I suppose rubber castors would be best option for a smooth transit across a concrete floor, suspension ones would make it unstable.
maybe one of those folding aluminium ramps to get he bike on and off?

Naa, just me and mate who enjoy going for a good ride, mcguyver, who brought the LC in brissy, he posted here the other week. We wander all over the place and them.
