Nothing is Safe......

Post by OzzyElsie »

......nothing is sacred, no make, model or style is safe from customising. There are no size limits, no style limits, practicalities don't come into it, not even good taste. There is no shame just individuals expressing themselves.

When did good taste come into it?
Didn't know Gollum rode a trials iron, it's a wonder Bilbo got away

I'm going to regret saying this, but the Urinal looks OK apart from the lousy paint.

I don't mind #2 either, but none of them are outstanding IMO.

Edit: I should put this into perspective, because my bikes aren't outstanding either, but I'm just a backyard hack, not a professional builder.

I like all of them; although I still wonder WHY?

Why put all that time money and effort into a CB200 - at the end of the day you still have a 'cold porridge' lack lustre, lack go, CB200 :-| .

But each to their own. I saw a CT110 rattle can spray Sky Blue and yellow (overspray everywhere) with a proud as Punch owner. And good on her. Her ensemble was complete with a home made, hand made, jacket complete with unfinished edge. Both bike and rider in the grunge, urban alternative life style look.

Even the LC is not spared the 'bugger the practicalities, looks are everything' styling.

I think this might be a Melbourne bike. I basically love it although I might rework it a bit.

would love that LC, always wanted it!

Ive been working on my XT the past few days, it amazes me how simple that bike's rolling frame is, noting is more than a few bolts away, its slim and small too... but the motor is bloody heavy. I wish i had a spare frame, I always wanted to put an RZ motor in one...

Gee you like doing it the hard way don't ya.

That's an LC frame with an XT250 tank. Looks like it was meant for it doesn't it?

But not too surprising. Both have a mono shock reaching up under the tank meaning the tank tunnel is wide, and about the same width.

But since you like it sooooo much.........

..........here, at incredible cost and inconvenience, da, da......

It is an assumption about the fit of the tank. If you have an XT tank and an LC frame you might be able to offer them up to see have close a fit it is.

No more piccies and no other info - who or why it was built etc. As I said I think it is a Melbourne bike. Does anyone know?

Here's another XT tank but on an A/C frame. Pretty cool hey!

And another.

I like this guy's work and treatment of the old RD. I would have to see the front from another angle before I got too excited. And the flat tracker seat is getting a little passe (I prefer the LC's (homemade) one). He's gone to a lot of trouble with the rear end just to end up with an RZ 18inch wheel. I don't like the design of the RZ mag but painting them all matt black certainly helps to take the focus off them. I would hate to think how much time he spent drilling the extra holes in the front discs.

I like the size and placement of the indicators. I would have tried to put the rest of the electrics into the tail. But 9 outa 10.

Have you seen these twoee customs?

I like the RD custom.

This needs a little work on the rear suspension.........

I think you have to be pretty cheeky to turn up to a custom show with a twoee. I can imagine the Harley Boys reaction.

Anyone here doing a twoee custom?

The LC Club in the UK did that a few years ago, built a 350LC chopper out of spare parts, even spliced two rear wheels together to make a fat one, and reverse cylindered it
