RZ Pics

Post by Lowflying »

Snapped my RZ the other day. It had been sitting for a bit, waiting to be upjetted for the Spec11 pipes I got. Well, been too busy to figure that out, so whacked the old cigars back on and ring a ding ding.

Couldn't figger posting a pic, so had a link to photobucket (which also had me confuzzled). Got help in the next post so have posted pics subsequent to that! Scroll down.

I like to run without the side and chin fairings. Bought those plastic triangular bits that hide the coolant tank and the wiring near the headstock on spec, figuring I could jury rig something, only to find the mounting tabs and rubbers are already there. Did naked and faired bikes all come like that, or did I just discover that my bike originally was unfaired? :?:

Cheers,

Robbo.

When you view a single pic in photobucket, click on the text beside "IMG" on the right hand side. You'll see it say "Copied".

Then just paste it in here.

Ok. Stopping now.

Anybody have an answer to my query in the first post? It also has the mounting tabs for the fairing so it seems they must've come with the frames ready for naked or faired?

I don't know definitively, but I really couldn't see yamaha producing different frames for naked and fairing bikes.

Im not sure what mounts you mean for the unfaired, but you defo have a faired bike there looking at the side mounts, I assume you have a welded on thing on the headstock as well for the cage?

The unfaired bike frame does not have those things and has different clocks / light mount fr unfaired and other mounts for the nose cone if an earlier bike

Can you take a pic of the brackets you mean?

I get that. In fact I have all the fairing panels, just choosing not to run them.

I mean that I have all the required mounting bits for the fairing, and I also have the bits on the frame at the headstock where those funny black plastic triangles go to hide the coolant tank on the left and all the wires on the right. I assume the faired bikes dont't have those panels, or do they all have those? Mine didn't come with them...

They didn't, its just brackets and lugs plus birdcage fairing frames.
Good old Yamaha, it makes what we do these days so much easier.
Ex UK, now in Adelaide. LC250/350. DT175. Shed full of sh1t in the vague form of dismantled rusty RD’s and RZ’s.
