Thommo, I'm 45. Which makes me a perfect candidate for the 30 Year Classic Rule. By rights I should be into bikes and cars from 1984. And in my case that's precisely, precisely true. Except I couldn't give a toss about cars.

Oh, and Jon, what you said about parts, "if you can, you should". I have limited funds, but aware of whats hard to get and whats easier to get, so I try to collect things as they come up. As it goes, most things do come up eventually, but you have to be diligent and also selective I believe.

Yeah, understood... mostly as we all have limited funds (and too many projects) but I still sigh inwardly whenever my mates say 'Ohh do you still have that...' when I offered it around a few months back. I recently sold (after 2 years) a rear wheel for an MT/XL from the 70s and it sold to a local lad who wanted the DID rim via ebay, today a mate emails and asks me if i have an old off road wheel he can use... sigh.

Cars from 84... Metro 6R4 would do me... not that there are many downunder...

Your not much older than me, I'm only 34, and I'm not much into cars either.
