Measure the steering head stem dia, the steering head dia and the height of the bearing and any bearing shop will get you a replacement for considerably less than $90.

yeah you would think so,abc bearings wanted $90.00 for one and $30.00 for the top one.and cbc bearings wasnt much cheaper.must be weird sizes. the top one is 48,25 13.the bottom one is 48od,30id,13height.the one at abc had different seals and would not fit anyway but i think the seal comes out between the cone and bearing.he would not let me open the packet up.yeah ebay is cheaper but needed them to keep plotting on

The mob from NZ that advertise on eBay, pyramid parts are very good. They do full sets seal, race and bearing - even provide a tube of bearing grease to go with it. I've used them for steering bearings, wheel bearings, all types of seals as well without any problem.

I got some dust seals from them for my LC forks and they were absolute shite! Made from some soft floppy rubber... I did get a tube of rubber grease, so it wasn't a complete waste of money!

I wouldn't bet it's rubber grease. Probably raspberry jam with the pips taken out.

Is it just me or do rubber parts always seem to be a quality problem?

Rather worse implications gor brake servicing kits and the like.

Ive had a couple sets of Pyramid bearings now and I won't buy them again.
Did the wheel bearings for the Hybrid and they were noticably notchy from the start, ended up replacing with CBC Japanese bearings and now perfect.

Any advance on finding out if AllBalls is the same stuff as Pyramid?
I have seen too many negative posts about Pyramid to use them.
