Filtering.

Post by OzzyElsie »

Holy Mackrel, who would ever expected such common sense from a govt. -especially a NSW govt :rotfl:

But watch, some idiots will 'take it to the max' and use it as an excuse or cover for doing 50kph between cars in stupid situations causing death and injuries to themselves and angst to drivers.

But the lawyers will make a fortune out of it arguing about who was at fault and by what degree.

Hopefully there is an education campaign planed to inform arrogant car drivers that it is now legal and that there is no reason to hinder or injur a rider for doing it, and that if their car was small enough to do it, they would as well.

That whole thing with trucks an busses could have been handled differently, I know when I am approaching the front of a bus or truck while filtering I slow enough that if there is a surprise, like an unaware pedestrian not at a crossing, I will be able to stop in time.

You'll notice it is fully licensed (not L's P1 P2 P3).

I wonder if it will allow for 30kph in the break down lane (a safe option). I think break down lanes are a seperate regulation under the act and it is probably still a no no.

I cant see the breakdown lane rule coming in, too many variables re saftey etc. And fine with the fact that the L's and P's dont get to do this, gives them something to look forward to :D
