RZ motor in a SZR660 chassis...?

Post by w3a51l »

Anyone tried it?

Would it even fit?

I like big singles, but it would have to be an improvement to have the twin or the four in the heart of such nice unit... :)

I've looked at this before. The SZR frame and swingarm are very similar to TZR. The RZ500 motor can be squeezed into a TZR frame, so I believe it could be done!

The TZR frame needs mods unless you're going to have the engine sitting at a very strange position.

Here's a mob in UK who fit RZ500 motors to 3MA frames:

I was going to say the 3MA would be the natural choice as its already designed for underseat pipes. The later model even had USD forks. Shame to violate such a beautiful bike though, love the look of those.

One of those and an NS400R are still on my wish list.
