Yep I definitely want one :)

Im pretty sure that the Yamaha zeel will work fine on my KTM motor but Ill confirm before we buy.

I need the PCDI-11V

This I believe is also the best ignition for the 350YPVS bikes

So let me know when were going to buy these!

Speak to LB Jeram, I reckon two of you could do a deal with someone like Economy Cycle, Aaron and I did as there was a group buy on the rdrz500 forum, there is also a 10% (I think) code you can use as a menber of that forum which would be better n nothing but John will probably cut you a better deal if you can get 5 or more, that's what we did last time.

Sadly i dont any this time round or i would be in, maybe speak to Aaron as he might have another bike on the go soon.

Borut gives me a trade discount the 11V is not PC programmable. An Ignitech is 147Euro and you buy a few of those and cost come down.Your going to use DC/DC on the KTMito Jeram, the 11V is for HV

I was speaking to DMCC, he said that his ignition (ignitech I think) came with a potentiometer and a basic form of traction control

eg:if engine RPM accellerates past a certain point, the ignition reverts to a retarded ignition map.

plus has map switch.

any idea which ignition that is? because it sounds like one worth getting!

this almost makes the ignitech a bit better because wheel spin will be a big issue.

Switching to the 2nd advance map
- Acceleration threshold: Value of engine acceleration (by how many revolutions per
second) at which the map is switched to "Ignition advance 2". If this function is not
desirable, it is necessary to set a high acceleration value which cannot be reached
(20,000).
Potentiometer - Changes: This is used to select which value will be corrected by the correction
voltage input (correction potentiometer):
1) Off - No operation is executed.
2) Ignition advance - The potentiometer can be used to correct ignition advance
by +/- the value set in the "range" cell (at the bottom).
3) Starting limiter - The potentiometer can be used to correct revolution values
for starting limiters by +/- the value set in the "range" cell (at the bottom).
4) Gear-shift pilot light - The potentiometer can be used to correct revolution
values, from which the gear-shift pilot light will light up by +/- the value set in

5) Switching to the second map - The potentiometer can be used to correct

Yeah well Dave hasn't got that right, the potentiometer won't work as basic TC, that is far more complex. The trim pot is only adjusting the advance within a pre-set range.
The Zeel 20V(or another that can be PC programmed) or the plain P2 Ignitech .

yeah, they are two separate functions,

you can use the potentio meter to adjust advance, or shift light or alter the rpm threshold that the TC kicks in at.

but the TC is a completely separate function. well actually I dont think they even refer to it as TC. its just an RPM accelleration activated map switch (aka TC)

I was thinking that this could also be used to retard the ignition in first gear to stop wheel stands and wheel spin, by setting the TC at a rate that comes on in the band at WOT in first gear. then it will also activate in any other gear if wheel spin occurs :)


so does that make it worth getting the RACE ignitech?
it honestly sounds like a ton of fun to set up the TC at a later stage once the bike is running properly

This is why you will rapidly disappear up your own arse chasing this around.
With MotoGP electronics and riders they dial the LEAST amount of TC they can in(fast ones use 3 out of 10 slower ones 4 out of 10).Most times you WANT wheelspin to turn the bike. The Ignitech can only detect wheel spin, if you back the ignition of enough to stop wheelspin when your in a slide = highside.
With a starting curve you want to trigger that by speed or flick a switch just after you get mobile (30-40kmph)
