Putting the RZ back together

Post by pkay »

An excuse for some pictures

Some time ago I bought a 1FN RZ, a VF21 RGV250 and a 31J RZ rolling frame. I've been collecting bits for the 31J as when I had a good look at it it seemed that someone had cherry picked a few bits but most of it was there. Only problem with buying a box of bits is you have to assemble it before you pull iot apart again to work out what is missing. So last weekend I bit the bullet and reassembled the beast. All that is now missing is the bikini fairing and the belly fairing. And I can't work out how the power valve servo mounts (ie does it have a cushion mount (not shown in the parts book) or not?).

Excellent, check the thread by Nick Sanders, he can supply new top fairings, excellent quality.
Ex UK, now in Adelaide. LC250/350. DT175. Shed full of sh1t in the vague form of dismantled rusty RD’s and RZ’s.

That would be great thanks - on the 1986 RZ there is a grommet with a collar in the middle through which the mounty screw goes. Nut ne interested to seeif your si the same.
