TZR250 3XV Fairing on a RZ250?

Post by Smokey »

I am looking for a suitable modern-ish fairing kit for my rz, namely this one:

Any ideas? Reckon it will fit? :)

Hey Adam,
Check out this mob:

They might cost a bit more than the ebay ones but at least they will fit straight on and look very modern. Also remeber that if you get painted fairings and try to modify them to fit, you may damage the paintwork.

Im pretty sure it should be easy enough to fit the front upper and lower fairing. Looks like i may have to move the sidestand further back though.

The only tricky part I can see will be the tail section, as I have to make it solid yet easily removeable for filling the oil, and since it is a one piece tail, may not be easy...

Is there a TZR rider on this forum?

Try this one for solo seat units:

If you are in Sydney, there is a 3XV at Scotts Motorcycles.
Luke and Trevor are two stroke nuts and would be more than happy to help you:

Hi Smokey,

Just found thread.

If its not too late,
I can help, as I have made these moulds for the 3XV and can make these parts in carbon.

Have not got the standard 3XV seat unit as I have made a TZ 250 1992 Std seat unit.

PM if this is of any interset
