But in the right market you are probably right. There are some 'anals' out there who would pay it. I know NOS has a certain appeal to some.

May not be George St butt I think in nearby Oxford St ,if you bend over your wish will be granted , provided there is enough cashed up 'anals' to go round there??

$12,900.... reserve not met, at the mo...

Have to say this is about what i thought it was worth... just goes to show, the owner thinks its worth more. Rightly or wrongly new old stock things are worth what people will pay for them, supply and demand etc. Interested to see if it sells in the end, I think the owner may have a high reserve on it.

this is great, when the wifes near the computer i show it to her and then refer to mine, telling her im going to make a killing when i sell in 20 years time,,it justifys the expense to do a resto,,glad she knows nothing about bikes or cares, lol, aside from all that ,it will be interesting to watch it to the end,its gone for a bit more than i thought already,i wonder if the reserve gets met will it ever be ridden? New or not that mastercylinder looks shit

Thats a later model one..
A superseded master...
The LC original has the little sight glass that sticks out...Not flush like yours...
But its still a mighty fine master & looks brilliant... :D

Ken, I just re-read your post and had to laugh ! My family doesnt get it either and I can tell you I would be worse than a bear with a sore head if I had a tank like yours and got a scratch on it.

gday baffled, are you dead cert about the mastercylinder? i purchased this from the rdlc crazy site as a genuine mastercylinder, from norbo, what year is it from then? i had a different shaped one on mine from the the later bikes and changed it to this , i have since thrown the box away that it came in but the part # matched the bike at least with the parts manuel i have, needless to say , i still love my mastercylinder. lol.,

"yes" lm dead cert,
You are correct in saying that you purchased it as a genuine master,
Its just a superseded one,

When Yamaha ran out of the original master that came with the bike they "As all manafacturers do" will supersede the part number to a master cylinder that will do the job just as well but not be the original original,
If that makes sence...

So the master you buy now will fit & work on the LC but it might be from a bike thats only a couple of years old,
